How do we collect samples?
Mold in building materials can sometimes be seen or smelled. Using a Bio-Pump Plus, Our inspectors will conduct an indoor and outdoor test for comparison. The inspector will collect a tape lift sample for visible mold and perform a moisture level test. Our inspectors’ bags, photograph, document each sample he receives, and complete’ a chain of custody form. The inspector will draw a map indicating where the samples were collected and return the samples with the chain of custody form to the lab for evaluation.
Results take anywhere from 24 hours to five business days to deliver to you, and it takes anywhere from half an hour to one hour to complete the mold inspection of a home.

The mold service call is $359, including two samples, an inspection, and a complete report. Each additional sample is $55. There may be a small one-way trip fee of $0.65/mile if your address is over 20mi from our office. You will be billed by email once the data is ready. IMPORTANT-MUST READ FIRST: All mail-in samples must have a tracking number and include our general chain of custody form to be processed. If you are missing the chain of custody form, your sample(s) will not be accepted and processed. Drop-offs MUST have the COC form inside your package but not in the sample bag. DO NOT MAIL YOUR SAMPLES BY FIRST CLASS MAIL. Send your sample(s) via USPS Priority Mail, UPS, and FedEx. It is essential to closely follow these directions so our asbestos testing lab can promptly process your sample(s).
*PLEASE NOTE FOR ALL DROP-OFFS: All samples must be dropped off at the back of the office building located at 7100 Fort Dent Way, Tukwila, WA, outside the Tabor 100 Office and placed inside the black drop-box pictured below. Do not take your samples to the front desk. The front desk will not accept drop-offs over the counter, NO EXCEPTIONS!
