Environmental Technician
Collect samples of asbestos containing materials; Lead, air quality samples; and mold. Must have reliable vehicle, and must be able to complete and pass AHERA and Lead inspector certifications before employment. Ability to travel.
Requirements:

- 2 years experience preferred
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Clean driving record
- Must have active auto insurance
Industrial Hygienist Field Technician
5 Microns has an immediate need for an Asbestos, Lead, Mold consultant/Industrial Hygiene Field Technician to join our 5 Microns team. This position includes on-site inspections and monitoring primarily in the Washington State area, but may also include work throughout the United States. Studies in sciences related field or construction management are a plus for this position. Position will include both field work and office work to be located in our Renton, WA office.
Duties may include:
- Performing on-site asbestos, lead-paint, mold and other regulated materials investigations
- Oversight/air monitoring the abatement activities of asbestos, lead-paint, mold remediation, and other regulated materials
- Indoor air quality investigations
- Industrial hygiene testing
- Preparation of site health and safety plans
- General proposal and report writing
- Be available for work on a 24 hour/7 days basis, if needed
- Use of Windows/Microsoft Office to perform duties
Required Qualifications:
- 3 years experience
- Asbestos AHERA initial and refresher, Lead sampling technician initial training
- CSST and LST
Preferred Qualifications:
- NIOSH 582 training
- DOSH CAC
- CDPH Lead Inspector, Assessor, Project Monitor
- 40-hour HAZWOPER
- 30-hour OSHA Construction Supervisor
- California CSST or CAC and Lead Inspector/Assessor, Project Monitor
