How do you perform a mold air quality test?
5 Microns Inc. utilizes an airflow calibrated electric pump to capture all the possible present airborne spores in your environment. An air-o-cell cassette is attached to the top of the pump to capture mold spores of different colonies, which will then be examined under a microscope by a lab technician. But we can also collect a physical sample for visible mold, depending on the situation. We provide:
- A full report will show what mold spores are present.
- Their levels with a glossary of fungi.
- Our recommendations.
We don’t perform the remediation as it is a conflict of interest.
How much does a mold air quality test cost?
the mold service call is $359, including two samples, inspection, and a complete report. Each additional sample is $55. There may be a small one-way trip fee of $0.60/mile if your address is over 20mi from our office. You will be billed by email once the data is ready. The information will be available in two business days. There will be payment options on the invoice for you to choose from. Our office will forward your report after we’ve received payment. We do not perform the abatement as it is a conflict of interest, but we can point you in the right direction if needed.
