Remediation Technician responsibilities
- Assess property damaged by fire, water, mold, and weather disasters
- Perform mold inspections using air and surface sampling devices
- Build containment
- Wear PPE (Personal Protection Equipment)
- Remove and replace damaged drywall and related building materials
Remediation Technician qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Candidates with an IICRC (inspection cleaning and restoration certification) are preferred. AMRT (Applied Microbial Remediation designation).
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs, and in good physical fitness and stamina for cleanup
- Comfortable with using power and hand tools
- Must have excellent communication, listening, and teamwork skills
- Comfortable with fieldwork and working in all types of weather and environments
- Must have a clean driving record
Industrial Hygienist Field Technician
5 Microns needs an Asbestos, Mold consultant/Industrial Hygiene Field Technician to join our 5 Microns team. This position includes on-site inspections and monitoring in Washington State. Studies in science-related fields or construction are a plus for this position. The position will consist of fieldwork and office work in our Seattle, WA, office.
Duties may include:
- Performing on-site asbestos, mold, and other regulated materials investigations
- Indoor air quality investigations
- Industrial hygiene testing
- General proposal and report writing
- Be available for work flexible hours
- Use of Windows/Microsoft Office to perform duties
Required Qualifications:
- No experience required
- Asbestos AHERA
- Ability to travel
Preferred Qualifications:
- 40-hour HAZWOPER
- AHERA Inspector–required
- Job Type: Part-Time, Full-Time, Temporary.
Water Restoration Technician
Restoration Technician responsibilities
- Assess property damaged by fire, water, mold, and weather disasters
- Clean and store salvageable belongings and property
- Remove and replace damaged drywall, plumbing, and related materials
- Perform water mitigation and extraction services
- Decontaminate and deodorize indoor space
- Repair and restore the structure
Restoration Technician qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Must have IICRC (inspection cleaning and restoration certification) certification; WRT (water damage restoration endorsement) is preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and in good physical fitness and stamina for cleanup
- Comfortable with using power and hand tools
- Must have great communication, listening, and teamwork skills
- Comfortable with fieldwork and working in all types of weather and environments
- Be available for work on a 24 hour/7 days basis, if needed
